Jablonec lost to Freiburg in the previous round of the competition. They lost, but not without a proper fight. The result at half-time was 1:1, but the Czech side lost 3:2 at the end. During the weekend Jablonec faced Plzen. They played an interesting game and Plzen won 3:2. Coach Lubo Kozel has the majority of his players available, only Kevin-Prince Milla and Krystof Karban remain long-term injury victims. In addition, Lamin Jawo is rated as doubtful.
Brighton are "miraculous" side. The bigger teams bought their best players every year and Brighton are successful again. The list of departed players is very long and includes names like Caicedo, McAllister, Cucurella, Ben White, Trossard, Yves Bissouma etc. Some pundits are joking - the more Brighton sell their best players, the better they become. To be worse, the guests have lot of injured players - Ferguson, Tzimas, Mitoma, Azeez, Yohanna, Struijk, Wieffer and Minteh. And of course, Hurzeler has to rotate the players due to busy schedule. Just three days later Brighton travel to Anfield in a derby match against Liverpool.
Jablonec are in mini series of two defeats across all competitions. But something else is important for my pick - they are easily scoring and conceding goals. Brighton, meanwhile, are enjoying a fantastic season, both domestically and in Europe. The Seagulls demolished Kauno Zalgiris with 4:0 in the first round of the competition, while the results in the Premier League are also good. I expect both teams to score here.
