The Avs have shown signs of regression this week, suffering defeats against the Flyers and Devils. Both performances lacked intensity and energy, giving the impression that they were simply going through the motions on the road and looking forward to returning to Denver. Now back on home ice, they have an opportunity to respond. Colorado typically plays at a higher level at home, where the pace tends to increase, creating more open space and scoring opportunities. Lehkonen has been in excellent form and currently leads the team in scoring. The offense continues to produce, although the defensive side of their game has noticeably declined. Blackwood is expected to start in goal.
The Lightning come into this matchup with better form and momentum. They secured an impressive win over the Knights, a game in which we also backed the Over successfully. Tampa Bay didn't overwhelm Hart with a massive volume of shots, but they made their chances count and showed excellent finishing efficiency. The main concern is Cirelli's availability, as reports remain inconclusive about whether he will be able to play. He contributed a couple of goals against Vegas, making his potential absence significant. Keep an eye on the latest updates ahead of puck drop, although information remains limited at the time of writing. With Vasilevskiy expected between the pipes, the goaltending matchup looks fairly even.
