Game 3 World Series:
Great World Series thus far, with Milwaukee leading the Devil Rays 2-0, so pretty much a must-win situation for the Rays. Can they do it? Of course, they were one of the best home teams of the season, but still, I think nice value with the Brew Crew and here is why.
Indeed, Tampa hits at home a nice 262 Batting average and a 108 wRC+, which ranks them ''only'' 6th and 8th, respectively. Good stuff, but not like the top dogs.
The Brew Crew on the other side were much more than a great home team as well. In fact, they were hitting a really solid 247 batting average. All of this during the regular season.
The real advantage comes from the pitching, though. The visitors start with Gasser. The Southpaw has been fantastic this postseason with an ERA of 1.00. The Tampa Bay Rays were not good at all versus lefties; in fact, they hit during the regular season a poor 90 wRC+, which ranked them 26th.
The Brewers on the other side are monstrous against right-handed pitching with a 112 wRC+ and a .264 batting average, which ranks them 1st (!) in both departments. And here they face red-hot Peralta, who owns an ERA of 1.08 during the postseason, but a worse 4.42 during the regular season. Besides, he owns an ERA of 11.81 against the Brew Crew this season as they smashed him for 7 runs.
Brewers have one of the best bullpen ERAs ever in the World Series, so that's another advantage to go with the road dog here.
All in all, I strongly believe that Milwaukee will take one of the road games in Tampa, so for plus money, I will definitely try them tonight.
