Brest - Nice

Reasoning: Not long ago, I already wrote about Nice, and the first part of that analysis went as follows: the team have brought Elye Wahi back into the fold (7 goals last season), Mohamed Amoura has recovered (previously at Wolfsburg – 8–10 goals), and so has Hicham Boudaoui (an important central midfielder alongside Witsel). In addition, Niels Nkounkou (full-back) joined in September, which is particularly interesting because after Clauss, the league’s best attacking full-back, the other flank could now become very dangerous as well! Alongside them, Gauthier Hein, Sofiane Diop and Isak Jansson are also players who can threaten the opposition at any time in this league! And those expectations have proved correct: Nice played well in that match and have continued to do so since.

However, their defence is still vulnerable, which could favour Brest, as Ludovic Ajorque, Mama Baldé and Kamory Doumbia all possess good quality! Especially considering how Brest perform as a team at home.. Apart from their goalless match against PSG, they have scored 13(!) goals in these games.. They have no reason to produce a ridiculously boring match, nor are they overloaded with fixtures, so everything is in place for a genuine showdown..
