Reasoning: If the home advantage were reversed, I would back both teams to score in this fixture without a second thought, so I have opted for a slightly more conservative option here. The teams met a few weeks ago, when Torino fielded a significantly rotated lineup, and Monza won.. One particularly interesting detail is that this was Torino’s only match in which they failed to score when it was not something you would have expected, because in all their other matches (apart from the one against Roma, of course), they managed to find the net.. In that fixture, there were 3(!) shots off the woodwork and 24(!) attempts from inside the penalty area over 90 minutes, which is an outstanding figure.. I’m not expecting the teams to go at each other quite as aggressively today, but there is no doubt that Torino have something to make up for, and with attackers such as Simeone, Vlasic, Kulenovic, Adams and Zapata, they simply have to deliver..

The other side of the equation is that Monza are very well organised and, considering their circumstances, play genuinely attractive and brave football. They scored away against Inter and Lazio, and in the latter match they played almost 60 minutes with ten men while still enjoying something close to territorial dominance(!), which is quite an achievement! Their dropped points away against Lecce (2 goals scored) and Parma (1 goal scored) were also particularly unlucky, as they unleashed 35(!) attempts across those two matches.. I’m expecting a good game today!
